Booking an Appointment
COVID-19: Masks Are Still Required if you are Symptomatic and Appointments Should be REBOOKED if you are POSITIVE
Current NSHA guidelines as of August 19, 2024, state that if you have tested positive for COVID-19, you should stay home while you have symptoms. For the 7 days from when symptoms began or from the date of the positive test (if no symptoms). All people who test positive should also avoid higher risk people and places i.e. medical clinics and wear a well-fitting mask when in indoor public places, public transit, and crowded spaces.
We are committed to keeping you and your loved ones safe.
How to prepare for your appointment
- Bring your Healthcare Card
- Bring a list of your medication names and doses
- Identify the ONE issue that you wish to discuss at your 15 minute appointment. We want to make sure that there is enough time for a proper discussion of your important issue including a history and a physical exam, if needed, so we can give you an answer. Another appointment can be booked on a different day to review a different issue. We know your time is important, just like the patient’s time at their appointment in front and behind yours.
- We require 48 HOURS CANCELLATION NOTICE or there will be a $45 “NO SHOW” fee or the equivalent amount paid by MSI for your appointment type. You will not be allowed to book with the same or any other provider until your bill is paid. If you cannot use your appointment time, please remember that someone else can have their issue addressed.
- CONFIRM your appointment when the reminder is sent. If you do not, your appointment will be given to someone else and if you come to the clinic, you will be booked on a different day. So remember, please CONFIRM your appointment.
- Avoid intercourse for 24 hours before your Pap test.
- The best time for a Pap smear is mid cycle.
- Know the date of your Last Menstrual Period if you are having a Pap test.
